Rev. Nathan and Bertha Scoggins
Pastor Scoggins was converted as a teenager in Rev. C. E. Cooley’s Pentecostal church in Lafayette, Louisiana, which is part of the UPCI and soon moved to Odessa, Texas, spending four years under the ministry of Rev. J.T. Pugh. As a young man working in the oil industry, he had risen to a managerial position for an oil equipment company in Louisiana by 24 years of age.
As he began working full-time in ministry in 1984, Rev. Scoggins served as Youth Pastor for five years with Rev. O.R. Fauss in Houston, Texas. He then traveled and evangelized for eight years, ministering throughout the United States, Canada, and abroad as a UPCI Evangelist
Rev. Scoggins became the pastor of Cornerstone Church in Lufkin, Texas, in 1997 and ministered in that capacity for 12 years. He served at different times as both Youth Secretary and Youth President for the Texas District. On March 10th, 2009, he was voted in as Pastor of Hope Center Church in San Antonio.
Throughout his illustrious career as a Minister of the Gospel, Rev. Scoggins has preached national conferences worldwide. He has been the main speaker at numerous Pentecostal church camps and youth camps and has consistently taught leadership and advanced leadership training seminars.
Rev. Scoggins has been married to his wife, Bertha Scoggins, since 1982. They have one daughter, Leah, born in 1996.
